Selling AND buying stalls

Selling AND buying stalls

Right now there just isn't any demand for "rare" drops, or mining/hunting/collecting products due to low playerbase.  Things like cotton feather wings and coldblooded hearts or silver, silk, hunting bait, in-fight mana/HP boosters etc etc can't be sold at anywhere near their value.

I'm sure that after the game catches on and the playerbase grows  a stable economy will emerge, but until then (like in real life) a little artificial inflation and a helping hand to create a viable economy that can eventually run itself is needed.

How many players are in the Fleamarket selling goods at any given time? between ZERO and what? four?  That's just not enough to draw players and thus create a flow of trade.

Instead of only having sellers in the fleamarket players could open stalls with a list of things they wish to purchase including the quantity and price that they are offering to buy.  This would allow for more buying and selling than the current "online" playerbase can currently do.  This would solve the problem that we just aren't likely to have both buyers and sellers of any given product online at the same time.

Not sure if you're talking about the buyer has a list of what they want while in stall mode?  Or having Sell/Buy list while in stall mode.. this idea is from Perfect World.

Also to comment about the demand.. there isn't much players can do since player base is really low.  Whether this game catch on depend on all other games out there.  There is too many games to compete and Elf Online as a whole can't compete in graphics, game engine and contents.  It's like comparing old 8 bits system to the newer xbox 360, ps3 and wii.  I'm not sure how long I will play this game since I'm waiting for the other game to be out in open beta.

I Think this is a great game, and it really should be marketed towards the younger teen crowd.... I'd say the 8-15 year old market. I am an old fart(41 years old) and I enjoy the game. The gameplay is good, and many of the systems implemented in the game are done quite well. I like the fact it has an anti cheat system that seems like it will deter bots that have infiltrated other games. I only wish we could leave shops open without getting disconnected due to anti cheat system. 8 hours maximum a day would help.

I agree that with the low playerbase at the moment, the economy just isn't there. That's why it's so hard to get higher level armors and items that require rare drops. Just stick with it guys and maybe soon things will change. All it takes is one lucky atricle to get Elf Online noticed and we will have players pouring in.... Keep writing articles and contributing to Elf Online!!
